The same software drives an industrial arm, a gantry, a mobile platform and a humanoid. The portfolio is four issued patents covering different ground. Licensees do not take the whole portfolio and they do not take a general-purpose product. A licence is granted for a defined field of use, and the control software is configured for the surfaces, tooling, platforms and cycle times of that field.
The application you are licensed to practise — automotive glazing and interlayers, vehicle exterior film and coatings, vehicle lighting and interiors, EV service and charging, architectural glazing, or marine. The field determines which of the four patents and which control modules are in scope.
Worldwide or by region, and exclusive, co-exclusive or non-exclusive within the field. Because the fields do not overlap, a licence in one does not foreclose the others.
The modules that field actually needs, tailored to your process — not a general release that would let a licensee operate outside the field they paid for. Scope, term and support are set per agreement.
